Having the Signal/Slot editor accessible in the IDE would be very good.
There are situations one cannot modify existing connection lines by
double clicking them in Creators "edit signal/slot" mode and one must
use standalone Designer for modifications. Its quite easy to get stuck -
just one example here: Place a QDockWidget at the left or right side of
a main window, put a QScrollArea in the dock widget which covers the
whole client area of the dock widget and finally place some other
controls (widgets such as buttons, comboboxes, etc.) in the scroll area.
Establishing connections between the controls initially isn't a
problem, but you won't be able to select an existing connection and thus
having it turned into red for editing - it's always the underlying
scroll area that gets red and thus gains focus. The signal/slot editor
would definitely facilitate changing signals and/or slots of existing
connections where it otherwise wouldn't be possible in the IDE.
