[Qt-creator] MS Visual Studio compiler with Qtcreator

Hi,

I've qt installed in c:\qt-msvs\4.4.3

You asked me if I can connect to #qt-creator. How can I do this?

I do not understand: do you have qt installed in c:\qt-msvs, or in c:\qt-msvs\4.4.3?



second thing: windows.h is hidden in windows sdk. (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Windows_SDK )





do you have some IRC client? can you connect to #qt-creator? I can better help you online, than per emails, my nick is ferret_svk there

Hi,

I've ms visual c++ 2005 express edition installed.
I've installed Qt in the c:\qt-msvs folder.
I've created the environment variable QTDIR = c:\qt-msvs\4.4.3 and added it to the path variable.

I've also created the environment variable QMAKESPEC = win32-msvc2005.

when I try to run the configure command I got these errors:

Impossible to find c:\qt-msvs\4.4.3\qmake\FILE_NAME.OBJ (and this for a several .obj files)

Impossible to find c:\qt-msvs\4.4.3\qmake\vc60.pdb
Impossible to find c:\qt-msvs\4.4.3\qmake\vc70.pdb
Impossible to find c:\qt-msvs\4.4.3\qmake\qmake.pdb
Impossible to find c:\qt-msvs\4.4.3\qmake\qmake.ilk
Impossible to find c:\qt-msvs\4.4.3\qmake\qmake.tds


and at the end this message:

Impossible to open the include file: 'windows.h' : No such file or directory.

Build qmake failed, return code 2.

Did I forget any configuration to make before running the "configure" command?

yes it is possible, I use it this way and have no problems with this. only thing you have to pay attention to is, that you cannot use gdb debugger and displaying qt stuff in msvc debugger is not always that easy

I know that's possible to use Qt in visual studio development environment. Is it possible to use msvs compiler in Qtcreator instead of Mingw?
