[Qt-creator] no Thread information

Is anyone able to see any thread information in the Thread tab when debugging in Qt Creator?  I never see any information in that pane, and I never see any threads listed in the Threads: combo box.

If I run my app directly in gdb, I can see that there's usually one thread, and I can see a new thread get created when I need it.  These never appear in Qt Creator Thread info.

I am running on ubuntu Linux 8.04 (Hardy Heron).  gdb version is gdb 6.8-debian.  I have not changed any Qt Creator options; they are all at default values.
