Unfortunately I don't know what the problem is here. You mean it doesn't 
respond for 30 seconds only for plugin projects and not for other kind 
of projects?

Which version of Qt Creator are you using, and what is displayed in the 
"Compile Output" pane while it's waiting for so long?

The bold project is the project that will be run when you press Ctrl+R. 
You can change which project Qt Creator runs in the Projects mode, by 
checking this project in the "Startup" column. You can also change this 
via "Build" -> "Set Run Configuration", or by holding down the big Run 
button for a while.
