[Qt-creator] Debugging Helper broken in 1.2?

Is there any update for the gdb issues on XP with Qt Creator 1.2?
There was mention of a potential fix or even a back port to 1.2 last
week.  I am struggling with CDB as the debugging helpers aren't as
good as gdb.
