Marc, actually we already have planned to integrate the plugin in the 
new file/new class dialog. In the settings, you'll be able to 
create/edit/import/export templates. Furthermore, we will provide a 
settings page to add custom keywords (a custom keyword can be composed 
with other keywords). A list of default keywords will be available, as 
you said : user name, file name, class name, include guard symbol and 
more.  Environment variables as well. The syntax must permit to do some 
usefuls things like transforming a keyword to uppercase or lowercase. 
The syntax is not fixed yet, but we want to keep the edition of 
templates as simple as possible. Your idea of template directories is 
great, it's noted!
