Which? can you attach the output of the Debugger pane as described in my
   first mail?

So you are saying that after a restart the box is unchecked again? Or
even if you open the options dialog again? That would be very strange in
both cases...

PS: Please don't do full quotes. Only cite relevant parts of emails.
This might be a good thing in the business world where you forward
entire discussions in one mail often, but it is a big problem in OSS
communities with people that have little time and know how to use email
threading on mailing lists.
