[Qt-creator] small editor suggestion

I see - thanks :) I typically keep whitespace visible as well and it
helps ease the concern Matthias quoted, but I would still maintain
that this does not resolve the original issue (of creating a clearer
distinction between gutter and edit area). Perhaps that issue won't
be resolved ultimately, but there you have it.
