Unfortunately these multiple key shortcuts don't really work on Mac  
OS. You'll need to go to the preferences and specify a (single-key)  
shortcut that you like in
Preferences->Environment->Keyboard
Type "clean whitespace" into the filter and adjust the shortcut.
