It's impressive how gentle you are when you want André :-)

Coming back to cmake vs qmake. The only advantage I see in CMake right 
now are:

1) nicer MSVC project generation. I don't know qmake enough to know if 
this can be configured. But if I compare Msvc solutions for the LyX 
project generated by qmake and cmake, the winner is clearly cmake.
2) rpm/deb/mac/windows package creation with CPack.

But for day to day compiling, qmake is more than good enough (and the 
syntax is simpler than cmake).
