[Qt-creator] Unable to use Subversion

Hello list,
I cannot use the Subversion plugin, although the plugin status is
green and I have the svn executable on my path.

When I create a project, the page related to Version Management is
always grayed. Also, if I open a project,
the subversion entry under the tools menu disappears.

I'm running:
Qt Creator 1.2.1
Based on Qt 4.5.2 (64 bit)
Built on Oct 30 2009 at 09:02:50
