[Qt-creator] Cannot run QML Application demo

Hi,

I compiled qt-creator from source (today) and created a new projct "QML 
Application". When I run the demo application I get:
<snip>
Starting ...
Failed to start program. Path or permissions wrong?
</snip>

So I cannot start the qml demo. What might be the problem?

I have to say, that I installed qt-creator to a different directory with:
make INSTALL_ROOT=... install
