I would not approve of such an option. It would be very rare to be
useful and the rare inconvenience does not justify it. There is more
inconvenience when such an option is on and then you wander "why is
current line's whitespace not cleaned on save?"

I use Qt Creator every day for hours at a time and I never found  "Clean
Whitespace but not on active line" to be of any potential use.
