[Qt-creator] Undefined reference to _imp___iob

I just installed Qt 4.6.2 on Windows XP, and naturally the first thing I tried 
to do was to build one of the examples provided with Qt Creator.  Every example 
I've tried gives the same build error (several times) plus another couple of 
similar errors:

d:/qt/2010.02.1/mingw/bin/../lib/gcc/mingw32/4.4.0/../../../crt2.o:crt1.c::-1: 
error: undefined reference to `_imp___iob'

Apparently I'm missing something.
