[Qt-creator] Background Jobs (Parsing and Searching) slow down QtCreator

Hi there,
I was wondering what happens after I load a project into creator.
As soon as the project is loaded two progressbars appear on the left sidebar:
1) one titled "Parse" (I am using the german version, so I guess it is "parsing" in the english version)
2) one titled "Suche" (I guess "searching") -> see attached image
I am really interested in the second one.
We observed that QtCreator runs over the whole filesystem of our workstations.
It opens directories in paths that have nothing to do with the project that was loaded.
In our case that slows Creator down until to the point that it is almost not usable any more.
We have some network mounted directories that are quite slow and contain loads of files. These directories do not belong to the project and do not contain any file that are used by the project but even though they seem to be scanned by Creator.
Can you explain to me what functionality is behind this "searching"?
Can you point me to a section of Creators Source code where this is implemented?
We are using QtCreator 2.0.1 on Linux.
Thanks,
Markus
