[Qt-creator] Debugger still not working

Thank you for reading this.

I'm still unable to get the debugger working in Qt Creator version 2.4.1.

Pressing the "start debugging" button starts a debugging session but the 
"step into" and "step over" buttons are greyed. Also, there's a spinning 
icon in the debugging section so something seems to enter a loop.

Any suggestions will be gratefully appreciated.
