Maybe, but in tests I've done on Linux and Mac with Intel 12.1 vs GCC 
4.7/8, ICC's still been the clear winner for the stuff I do (image 
processing and 3D rendering).

And on Linux, ICC's even faster, due to certain maths functions on Linux 
being atrociously slow with certain values...
