[Qt-creator] Qt Creator 2.8 compiled with Qt 4.8.4 not 5?

Yes it is.

Creator works fine with both versions. It should not matter which one is
used, the functionality is the same on both.

Having said that: Some people were experiencing problems with Qt 5 (not
unexpected with a release with so many changes). For those people we kept
the stand-alone packages at Qt 4.

Plus it is a nice demo showing that it is possible to have a codebase that
works for both versions.
