[Qt-creator] Best c++11 for compiling and debugging with qt-creator on mac?

Has anyone done research into using gcc 4.8 with Qt Creator on Mac?
I've been using it lately and it's an amazing compiler, and I figure
the recent-gcc support for the other platforms ought to still be
available.
