The packages are fetched from your nearest mirror, maybe that one is broken?
You can try to fetch from the "master" mirror by passing
--setTempRepository http://master.qt-project.org/online/qt5/linux/x86/online_repository/
on the command line. If that doesn't fix it, please feel free to submit a bug with the full installer log included (start with -v)
Regards
Kai

Subject: [Qt-creator] Problems with online installer
I'm using Fedora 16.
I'm trying upgrade to Creator 2.8.1
I download the online installer
qt-linux-opensource-1.4.0-2-x86-online.run
And when I launch it, it gets to the part where it's downloading QtCreator
Downloading packages...
Downloading archive hash for component: Qt
Downloading archive for component: Qt
Downloading archive hash for component: Qt Readme
Downloading archive for component: Qt Readme
Downloading archive hash for component: Qt Readme
Downloading archive for component: Qt Readme

After it gets to about 36.87 of 54.23Mb I get a popup message:
Could not download archive:

Any suggestions?
