Thanks Andre and Eike for the information. It looks like there may be
some non-trivial work to do to get the ANSI escape colors working for
external tool output.

What about linking to source/line numbers? Is this currently possible in
the General Messages output pane? If so, what syntax would I need to use
to create a link?
