[Qt-creator] examples on welcome screen

Hi,

Does anyone know of a fix for the following bug:

1) Open up Qt Creator
2) Welcome screen is displayed
3) Click on Examples
4) Three small square windows freeze, Qt Creator freezes.

I am an experience programmer, like 20 years.  I want to move from gtk 
to qt, but this bug is bad.  I would really like to use the examples.
