[Qt-creator] How to run different version (2 and 3) of qt creator on ubuntu 14.04?

Hi,

You can simply install qtcreator from installer, link to download page:

http://download.qt-project.org/official_releases/qtcreator/

Then just run qtcreator from specific folder(where you installed specific
qtcreator), e.g. for version 3.1.0:
~/qtcreator3.1.0/bin/qtcreator

I recommend to set different settingpath for different version of
qtcreator, so for version 3.1.0 it could be:

~/qtcreator3.1.0/bin/qtcreator -settingspath
~/qtcreatorsettings/3.1.0/.config

and for 2.8.1
~/qtcreator2.8.1/bin/qtcreator -settingspath
~/qtcreatorsettings/2.8.1/.config
