Setting the text document is not supported, and actually it is not even supported to perform *any* operation on the QTextDocument directly either. E.g. setting text editor contents is only supported through IDocument::setContents / BaseTextEditor::setPlainText. We simply have to keep too much separate information in sync (like the revisions), so I’m not even sure it would be possible, but in any case it would be a big effort with many opportunities for bugs ;)
