[Qt-creator] How to update Qt Creator without loosing Kits (Mac OS)

An unfortunately still manual trick to link a Qt Creator standalone installation to a Qt installer is:
ln -s "/path/to/qt/Qt Creator.app/Contents/Resources/QtProject” “/path/to/qtcreator-standalone/Qt Creator.app/Contents/Resources”
in a Terminal.
