[Qt-embedded-interest] Segfault on <button> tag, MIPS, WebKit, embedded QT

I'm cross-compiling Qt to run on Sigma 8634 chips (a set top box).
After I compile the toolchain and Qt itself, 
I can invoke the demo browser (or my own) and display web pages,
*unless* there is a <button> tag on the page, at which point 
I get a segfault. 

The maddening thing is that I had it working, and then when I recompiled
everything from scratch to make sure I could ship just the config and
patches back to the office, it started doing the segfault thing.
Unfortunately, I don't have enough RAM on the box to run the code under
gdb.

Has anyone seen anything like this? Any idea what it is I might have
changed? It's driving me nuts here.  Thanks in advance for any advice!
