[Qt-embedded-interest] Antwort: problems in installing Qt-embedded 4.5 in Linux fedora 8

Try to switch to a real text console and login as user root. Then it 
should work. The problem is that the ".bash_profile" file will only be 
processed during the first logon of root. Derived sessions like opening a 
gnome-terminal will not reprocess the file again.

An alternative would be to put the stuff from ".bash_profile" to the file 
".bashrc" in the "/root" directory. This should work out as well. The file 
get's executed each time a new bash is opened.
