[Qt-interest] Qt4 and Windows - MinGW?

Hi list

I want to try Qt on windows, there are 2 opensource versions, the standalone
Qt and the package including MinGW...

My doubt is, would I be able to create Qt applications with MinGW? if so,
what if I have already installed dev-c++ with MinGW?

Sorry for the lame question, but all my life have developed with Linux,
never tried with windows...
