[Qt-interest] Qt Applications left unattended on Windows get Alert on Taskbar

We have noticed that when we run Designer or Assistant or an application
that we write using QT, that after leaving it unattended for a long
period of time usually overnight, when we return we find that it appears
to receive some type of an alert and it is highlighted or blinking in
the windows task bar.
 
Does anyone have any explanation of this phenomenon?
 
Can it be turned off?
 
 
Just something that sparked curiosity, and wanted to see if anyone knew
the answer.
