[Qt-interest] Phonon and Shoutcast-Streams

Hi!
I tried http://yp.shoutcast.com/sbin/shoutcast-playlist.pls?rn=1480&file=filename.pls
and http://208.53.158.213:80/listen.pls several times, they both work  
here on my Mac (but just using a url to the http port on a specific  
machine is not supported, I guess iTunes does some extra magic here).
Just in case, have you installed the latest drivers from Perian (www.perian.org 
). Which version of the OS are you on?

QuickTime can spend a long time when setting up media for streaming,  
and right now the Phonon QuickTime backend holds the thread while  
waiting. Optimization for this is on the list for thigs todo.
