[Qt-interest] Need advice on implementing dictionary facility

Hi,
 I am trying to build a dictionary sort of dialog using Qt.
There will be an input text box and an output text box.
If i enter a word (as input) and click  'Search' button...it should go through a database and show the meaning of the word in the output text box.
The thing is ,are there any dictionary databases which can be installed in the computer?The plan is to port it into my mobile phone later on(if it works on the computer) and see if I can make it work there as well.
I guess I will need to install a different dictionary database for mobile phones.

Please let me know if there are any such  databases available for download(for both mobile phones and computers).

The question is not exactly on Qt,but I believe some of you might have developed similar applications before so, your help would be appreciated.
