[Qt-interest] Dialog window -> setModal(true) doesn't work

Good morning everybody,

I have a dialog window I designed with QTdesinger and I use its setModal(true) function to make it a Modal dialog window.
What I need is that the dialog has to take the control of the software has i have to fill it up some fields, and as soon as I click OK, the software can go ahead....but
it doesn't happen. 
The dialog window shows up but the software doesn't wait for it...and it keeps going ahead.
is there anything else I have to set up for the dialog windows?
