Unfortunately, I think not. GCC 3.4 on x86-64 is just not mature enough. We've
run into several compiler bugs or incompatiblities with the rest of the
toolchain (linker, assembler, etc.).
I recommend you upgrade your compiler for x86-64 platforms.
You may try to upgrade or downgrade your binutils package. Sometimes, that
helps.
