No, this should definitely be "QT += phonon"... I only meant the #include 
statement. Strangely enough this doesn't seem to work for you. I can only say 
that it works for me on Linux, Mac OS X and Windows exactly that way (using 
Qt 4.5.0). So I'm somewhat surprised, sorry.

Did you take a look at Qt's phonon musicplayer example?! It uses different 
#include's, though...

And on which exact version of Qt 4 are you trying this? Is phonon support even 
included in your specific Qt build?
