I cannot reconstruct, why I overlooked this warning. Indeed I use some
usertype "DatabaseItem", which is transmitted with the dataChanged
signal. Calling qRegisterMetaType with my DatabaseItem solves the
problems with the queued connections.

That brings me to the fact, that simplification of real code to example
code usually misses the key things... ;-)

Again, thanks to Thiago and Oliver for your suggestions and -of course-
the solution!
