[Qt-interest] Woes with X-Display

Is there a definitive source on behavior when Qt apps are remote
displayed through X? I've not done too much research, but from what I
can tell:
-My old apps w/ qt3support built into them display (almost) perfectly
from one machine to the next.
-Newer stuff which are qt4 only, w/ no qt3support, look like garbage.
Fonts are not anti-aliased, buttons aren't rounded, etc. etc.
I'm exporting from a server (which doesn't have X, but should have KDE
libraries, as well as qt4.3) installed on it. Normally it wouldn't
bother me but my newest qt4 only app is unbearable. For the record, if
I run the app off of the target desktop instead of remote display, it
looks fine.
A solution is to not remote display, but I find it much easier to
administer 1 machine rather than a handful.
