[Qt-interest] weird font sizes - qt-4.5 x11

Hi,
I've installed kubuntu-9.0.4 inside vmware (qt-4.5.0), and x11 resolution is
800x600 (and everything looks ok), then I've changed resolution to
1280x1024 (krandr) - now fonts are too big for newly opened apps (kde).
After that I've installed ubuntu (gnome), and tested font sizes with my qt4
app. Same thing happened when changing res via randr.
My xorg.conf does not contain any resolution information (if I set it up
than I get correct font sizes).
gtk2 apps looks correct all the time.
So my question would be:
Is it qt bug or I need to handle some event  because of res change via randr 
(fontdatabase change or what) ?
