I'm running into this problem as well. I've been using mingw but its been
painful with git so I decided to try with visual studio express to see if I
could get some of the new features running on the windows side.
While I'm sure Perl is required, I haven't found any documentation
discussing this and the failure before the compiler barfs having not found
qstringlist.h makes no reference to Perl. I'm sure I can get it installed
but would prefer to use cygwin... but then I'm not sure what madness will
occur between VC express and cygwin so I figured I'd ask.
Is there a FAQ or other document somewhere which discusses anything else
which might be required? Is there something bad / incomplete about VS
Express which doesn't occur with full VS? I'll do everything in creator
once its built so I don't really care about having the full VC product.
I'm not a windows developer but am forced to use it for a part of the system
I'm building... So forgive me if I'm missing something extremely obvious to
those windows cognoscenti amongst us.
