2. As for your question: yes, WE can change it but we won't, but YOU could do 
it, it's your job

3. How can YOU do it too? Take a look at the fine documentation (aka RTFM)

4. [WARNING this is a HINT!] look for QTabWidget::TabPosition. With this 
option you can put your tab bar on the qtabwidget in all points of the compass.
