[Qt-interest] QGraphicsScene/QGraphicsItem::mousePressEvent() issue

Hello, I have a scene populated with objects derived from
QGraphicsEllipseItem, they all have different Z values and the ItemIsMovable
and ItemIsSelectable flags set, however it often happens the one or more
objects simply can not be selected by a mouse click i.e. they never receive
the mousePressEvent(). What might be the reason for this behaviour? Version
of Qt is 4.4.3
