http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1370577/how-to-create-opengl-3-context-with-qt-4

Seems like OpenGL 3.x drivers (at least the Opensource ones) seem to lag behind a bit. Might be the reason why Qt is also not in a hurry, as to provide such functionality (to ask for an OpenGL 3.x context).

Still it would be nice for my new project to "do it the right way(tm)" and get rid from all deprecated OpenGL API as soon as possible and in the cleanest way (e.g. OpenGL 3.2 has already started to really throw away GL functions, not just deprecate them!).

Any "info leaks" here from the Trolls...errr... Nokians? ;) I did not find any word so far on http://labs.trolltech.com/...

Cheers, Oliver
