[Qt-interest] QHostInfo resolving domain .local.

Hi all,
    Why QHostInfo fail to resolve host like "asus.local."(end with a dot)? 
Where "asus" is my computer name. While in a windows xp command window type 
ping: "ping asus.local" or "ping asus.local." will return the same result.
    Any idea?
