[Qt-interest] Capturing global keypress events

I've had some weird software projects in the past but this one takes the
cake, definitely. But hey, for money I'll write just about anything!
Unfortunately I can only tease you all with that sentence and not really
provide much further info.

However, one of the main requirements of this project is that if someone
presses a certain key, the application's window is brought to the
foreground (the app may be suspended to the systray).

Now, is there any way in Qt to capture key press events regardless of
which application is currently active? Since another request is that
this app be cross-platform I rather not have to deal with OS specific
code on that.
