I have tried doing that too. It gives the same error. 

The problem is of book by Blanchette. I just tried to modify is to use
slot and signals in two different threads...

I tried working on the same. But there is a big problem. The program
wont compile anymore 

The error it shows is:
no mathing function for call to 'QObject::connect(Thread&, const
char[7], ThreadForm* const char[24])
qobject.h:116: candidates are:static bool

I have been trying to figure out but been unable to. 

Plz help
