You should definitely consider upgrading to Qt 4.5, as 4.2 was released 
in 2006 and is not supported anymore (i.e. there will be no patch 
releases for it, and the source code changed _a_lot_). There is no way 
to ensure a library that was release in 2006 will work on a OS that is 
released in 2009.

P.S. the Qt 4.5 is released under LGPL, so if it is the license that is 
the reason for not upgrading, then it shouldn't matter anymore.
