[Qt-interest] Ubuntu -lgobject2.0 no found

I just shifted to Qt 4.5.0 (ubuntu) , but I get the following link error in my project:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgobject-2.0

Some other form said to install libsm-dev and libxrender-dev, but that still does not fix the problem. However, libgobject-2.0.so.1 does exist in /usr/lib, so is it some dependency issue?
