[Qt-interest] Determine Rows/Cols that can be displayed in a QPlainTextEdit depending on Widget/FontSize

Hi.
I am wonder - searched the docs and did not found (maybe missed it) - if there 
is already anything there which tells me how many rows can displayed at once 
without having to scroll (depending on font, font size, widget size etc.)?

Background: I want to do telnet NAWS and need to tell the server, how many 
rows or columns can be displayed (80x24 or 200x48 ...).
Depending on the widget size of my QPlainTextEdit this will change of cause - 
but how to get them?
Someone can give me a hint?
