I do not have any problems with beginner questions, and I am sure Scott does
not have them either. However, it depends on how the question is asked:
- if the message shows that the poster did not spend more than five minutes
to solve the problem on his own, why should I do so?
- if the question is difficult to read (for whatever reason), I feel free
not to read it.
- if the poster _demands_ an answer, he is most likely not getting one.
- if the answer is given in the documentation, I tend to reply "RTFM!", with
the font size and number of exclamation marks corresponding to the position
in the docs.
- if the question is about implementation details, but makes obvious that
the person lacks basic understanding, I would recommend a book on the basics
first.
In any other case I will think about the question and am willing to help,
regardless of the poster's knowledge level.
