We've just fixed a performance problem in the QObject destruction related 
to too many connections. Our tests indicate that 10000 disconnection now 
takes a fraction of a second instead of 6-8 seconds.

If you can, please test the "master" branch of Qt and let us know how this 
improved your situation.
