What is the difference between intranet and internet???
Probably you are thinking about local 192.168.*.* networks. BUT:
At our university the "local" network is public ip addresses 141.48.*.* (with
subnets). You can go block everything that is not the local subnet, but that
will definitely block the virus-definition updates from the central server. And
it will also block all "intranet"-access to other machines of the same
workgroup but in a different subnet. Both are very bad results of your
thinking. And we aren't yet talking about the os-dependent ways of
implementing it. If the user even has enough rights to do such a stuff.
I think your question is not only offtopic but also wrong in the sense that you
have to think about the task much more...
